ThoughtSpot officially welcomed its Summer 2026 intern cohort this week. The kickoff included onboarding sessions, leadership meet-and-greets, engineering introductions, and conversations around company culture — alongside icebreakers, engagement activities, and a few friendly competitions. What stood out most was the energy. Seeing talented students from some of India's top institutes step into their first day with curiosity and enthusiasm was genuinely exciting. This cohort is off to a strong start, and there's a lot to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
Most AI agents struggle because they lack the context to understand businesses. They look at raw tables and make "probabilistic guesses," leaving teams to double-check every answer, or worse, make decisions based on untrustworthy insights. Spotter Semantics is built for the agentic era—combining natural language search tokens with enterprise-grade governance and security. Now, every user can explore complex data and uncover proactive insights with total confidence, knowing the business logic and metric calculations are grounded in a single, governed, verifiable source. It is built to break down silos with a purpose-built modeling language that integrates bi-directionally with the tools they already use, like Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt Labs. By creating a transparent source of truth, businesses can empower every agent and every user in their enterprise to ask complex questions and get verified, actionable answers. It’s time to meet Spotter Semantics:
Scaling Teams Through Human Connection & Padel 🌍🎾 Great company and a little healthy competition are the ultimate batteries for a high-performing team. Our EMEA crew took over Canary Wharf to swap "pings" for padel rallies, proving that our strongest professional outcomes start with our personal connections. By trading typical work talk for genuine connection, we’re returning to our mission with a renewed focus on leading the agentic analytics revolution. We stepped away from the screen to prioritize the people behind our platform, and now we’re more ready than ever to help enterprises transform insights into action. Huge thanks to the EMEA team for the energy! We’re truly making a more fact-driven world possible. 👏
The Rosetta Stone was a translation key. One artifact that made everything else readable. Your data doesn't have one yet. 'rev_adj' means three different things to three different teams, and when your AI agent picks the wrong one, nobody finds out until the board meeting. Spotter Semantics is that key. Hear from Senior Principal Product Manager Damian Waldron on why it's the foundation Agentic AI actually needs!
Fueled by a belief that real impact starts on the ground, we recently took that commitment to Mandya, Karnataka—stepping into two government schools with one goal: to spark possibility in the next generation. In partnership with the incredible trainer Mrs. Aruna, we hosted dynamic, high-energy three-hour sessions for more than 500 students. These weren’t just workshops—they were eye-opening experiences. From building essential soft skills to exploring career paths and preparing for interviews, 7th to 10th graders walked away with practical tools—and a new sense of what’s possible. And we didn’t stop there. To support them beyond the classroom, we distributed school bags, lunch boxes, and water bottles to 1,000 students—because confidence grows even faster when students have what they need to succeed. This wasn’t just a visit. It was a reminder that even small actions can unlock big futures.
What a time we had at the Women in Data® Flagship Event 2026! It was fueled by bold conversations, fresh perspectives, and yes, the personalized ThoughtSpot biscuits were a crowd favorite. Our Chief Data & AI Officer of EMEA, Jane Smith, joined Victoria Powell (Superdrug) and Morna McAulay (Booking.com) to cut through the AI hype, tackling whether data democratization truly creates equity—and what it really takes to embed AI into everyday decisions. We were also honored to be recognized at the Women in Data® Gala, with nominations for our own Jane Smith (Leader in Industry), Katie Marcham (Enabler of the Year), and ThoughtSpot as Partnering Team of the Year. Beyond the stage, our team kept the momentum going at the booth—delivering nonstop demos and connecting with the next generation of data leaders. Thank you to the WID community for an unforgettable event—this is how momentum is built, and we’re excited to carry it forward.
As part of our dedication to uplifting our community through sustainable initiatives/direct action, some of our team members recently had the privilege of visiting Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, Bangalore, an organization dedicated to supporting children who are visually impaired and children with disabilities. They spent the day attending the children's classes, understanding their learning methods, interacting with their teachers, and playing games with the students. They also distributed stationery kits, served lunch to nearly 400 students, and had the opportunity to sit and eat alongside them. The highlight of the day was a special live music performance by their in-house band: a group of visually impaired students whose talent is truly world-class. It was a deeply humbling and meaningful experience for our team. #lifeatthoughtspot

The best leadership conversations are the honest ones. Last week, the India chapter of the ThoughtSpot Women's Group launched with 60+ women gathered from across our India offices for an energizing and meaningful kickoff. The session opened with remarks from ThoughtSpot CEO Ketan Karkhanis and featured a thoughtful conversation about visibility, leadership, and growth with our SVP of Engineering and India Site Leader Hema Magesh and our VP of People Iswarya Lakshmi Shanker, who shared candid reflections from their own career journeys. Their candor made the room come alive. From tackling obstacles to embracing leadership with confidence, the experiences they shared sparked engaging and thought-provoking dialogue throughout the session. We're looking forward to continuing to create spaces that inspire and empower women across the company and industry. ✨
