We're thrilled to congratulate Olympian (and Bay Club Portland member!), Jacqueline Wiles, on taking home the Bronze medal in the Women’s Team Combined Alpine Skiing event on the world stage at the hashtag#Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. 🥉🇺🇸 This event combines downhill speed and slalom precision, and Jackie’s performance alongside her teammate secured a historic podium finish for Team USA. We’re equally proud to recognize Troy Harvey, Bay Club associate and Jackie’s trainer, whose partnership and preparation helped support this achievement. Congratulations, Jackie and Troy. Your discipline, teamwork, and humility represent the very best of sport and of our community.
There’s nothing like the collective experience of big sports moments. When a tournament comes to town or the Olympics take over a region, the whole community feels it. There’s energy. Pride. That feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself. As we look forward to hashtag#LA28, we can't help but reflect on the past moments that captured that spirit of community. In 1984, Fairbanks Ranch Country Club hosted the Olympic equestrian endurance event, welcoming tens of thousands of spectators. That moment didn't just come and go. It became part of our San Diego Campus identity. That's how our campuses come to life. They’re where big moments happen, but also where the everyday magic of sport unfolds. The junior tournaments. The club championships. The early morning swim practices. The weekend matches that turn into lifelong memories. We’re proud to cultivate spaces with real history and even more potential ahead. ALS does not care how strong you are. It does not care how fast you ran, how hard you trained, or how many people you inspired through sport. It simply takes. Augie Nieto, a pioneer in the fitness industry and a dear friend of the Bay Club family, faced ALS with the same grit that defined his career. Through Augie's Quest to Cure ALS, he turned diagnosis into determination, raising millions for research and hope — a mission that was also deeply personal to our late Board Member, Rick Caro, who championed the cause alongside him. This March, we’re proud to come together as a community and hashtag#PlayitForward in support of a cause that matters deeply to so many. From March 13–15, across all clubs, Bay Club will be hosting a weekend filled with special programming, including pickleball, golf, and tennis tournaments, fitness classes, and social gatherings — with 100% of proceeds benefitting Augie’s Quest. The weekend culminates on March 16 at the Augie’s Quest Classic — a day of golf, tennis, and pickleball at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club celebrating community, competition, and the legacies of Rick Caro and Augie Nieto, whose lives continue to inspire our collective pursuit of a cure. The most powerful moments happen when you least expect them. That's why our number one priority is to ensure that Bay Club associates are prepared to respond in a crisis. Last week, the team at Bay Club Pleasanton responded to a medical emergency during a group fitness class. Leveraging their CPR and AED training, two associates stepped in to provide life-saving care immediately, and the member was safely transferred to professional medical support. We are deeply proud of Team Pleasanton for their calm, compassion, and teamwork in a moment that mattered. This outcome was possible due to the heroic and quick action taken by these team members, and their leaders' continued commitment to safety training and preparedness across our clubs. Caring for people is at the heart of what we do—and we will always invest in the training, readiness, and culture that help keep our communities safe. 💙
