'It’s not every organisation that actively encourages you to take part in volunteering opportunities.' Recently, Iestyn Owen, National Account Manager at RS UK & Ireland, utilized his volunteer day by participating in a beach clean organized by Surfers Against Sewage UK, along with three stakeholders from one of our corporate customers. Iestyn explained his choice, saying, 'I decided to volunteer with Surfers Against Sewage UK because I'm passionate about the outdoors, and SAS UK is a grassroots environmental charity advocating for a clean, healthy, and protected ocean. The organisation makes event registration exceptionally easy, which encourages participation.' He added, "In terms of using volunteer days, whilst it's fantastic to give something back to the community, these events are also exceptionally rewarding and promote healthy wellbeing." Huge congratulations to the students from Marbellous Makes, the Young Enterprise UK Team Programme company from Corby Business Academy, for being awarded first place in this year's advert competition. The students from the SEN class are supported on their Young Enterprise journey by RS colleagues Bonnie Ghavami and Donna Constable. Bonnie told us: "It has been another incredible year supporting the Young Enterprise class and have been blown away by the talent that this class brings to the table.
