That’s why we were excited to welcome 380 children, affectionately referred to as our junior partners, to our offices for this year’s Bring Your Child to Work Day 💚 Organized by our employee-led Working Families Business Resource Council, the event offered a unique opportunity for our employees to share their professional world with the next generation, sparking curiosity, connection, and plenty of smiles. Highlights of the day included: ⚓Vault tours, scavenger hunts and behind the scenes office experiences ⚓Engaging presentations on cybersecurity, physical security, philanthropy, and the history of Northern Trust ⚓Hands-on workshops covering budgeting, resume writing, and taxes ⚓STEM projects, volunteer activities, and face painting ⚓Over 200 cards created and sent to Cardz For Kidz and Operation Support Our Troops-America The day’s success was made possible through the incredible collaboration of several of our Business Resource Councils (BRC’s). Advancing Professionals, Military, Pride, and Latin Heritage BRCs all played a key role in leading activities and making the day truly meaningful. Events like these remind us that when we invest in our people – including the youngest members of our extended Northern Trust family – we help build a stronger, more connected workplace for the future 🙂

Dragon Boat Racing at Northern Trust London 🐲🚣 Last week we had over 60 of our London team participate in Dragon Boat Racing at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre. The event was hosted by the London Sports and Social Committee and saw colleagues competing in teams of 11 (10 paddlers and one drummer per boat). On the day we were thrilled to welcome Daniel Gamba, president of NTAM, who brought plenty of energy to his team. That wasn’t all for the day. After the event, the teams were treated to a barbecue and networking event, with their efforts on the water rewarded. “It was a lovely warm summer evening on the water and great to see so many of our London team from across the organization taking part. We were especially pleased to welcome Daniel Gamba, who was visiting London from Chicago, who also took part in the day's events – ultimately being part of the winning team.
