In episode 7 of our 30 under 30 campaign, we spoke with Ryan Bull, deputy home manager at MHA Glen Rosa. Ryan spends his time at the home as a senior carer and deputy home manager, and only joined the home in August 2024.

This is a great example of how you can make a successful career working in social care. Andrea started her career at the home as a care assistant, then moved over to become a senior carer before starting in her current role as administration manager.
In part 6 of our 30 under 30 series we spoke with Fae Denholm, who only started working in social care nine months ago, and is already looking to develop her career.
The qualifications were supported and funded by MHA as a way of investing in their workforce and enhancing their skills sets.
Andy started working at the home as a chef in 2005.

In part 5 of our 30 under 30 series, we spoke with Charlotte Lay, senior care assistant at MHA Lauriston. Read her story below
Lesley started her journey as a relief care assistant during her final year at university in 1995 and a year into the role became a contracted care assistant. She continued to climb the ranks and became deputy home manager, care home manager and then moved over to the retirement living section of the organisation managing services in both Scotland and England.
“It's by far the longest time I have spent in a job, and I am so happy I have spent it at MHA Hartcliffe and working for an organisation like MHA, I do feel they appreciate all their staff members, you are treated as a person and not a number."
