MTU Aero Engines grew revenue and earnings in the first six months of 2024 We have just reported our results for the first half of 2024 and are pleased with our solid performance across all business segments. Overall: - Adjusted revenue grew by 10% from €3.1 billion to €3.4 billion. - Adjusted EBIT rose 16% to €470 million - And the adjusted EBIT margin increased from 13.0% to 13.7%. “With this performance, we remain on track for our full-year targets. Our assumption is supported by a sustained positive market environment and progress in the Geared Turbofan fleet management program,” reports Lars Wagner, Chief Executive Officer of MTU Aero Engines AG. “Today, we are confirming our guidance for 2024. We now expect our margin for the full year to be around 13%.” MTU had previously set a target of over 12% for the EBIT margin." Peter Kameritsch, Chief Financial Officer also added: “With regard to the free cash flow, the supply chain issues again kept us on our toes. We are continuing to focus on stringent cash management, especially in the areas of working capital and receivables management.” The free cash flow was €105 million in the first six months, compared with €135 million in the prior-year period. #WeAreEngineExperts

June is all about celebrating Pride Month. We would like to take this opportunity to shine light on MTU's AeroPride network. Employees and allies founded the LGBTQ+ network AeroPride in September 2023 to make the experiences, perspectives and needs of queer colleagues visible and give them a voice at MTU. From the outset, they were supported by Silke Maurer, member of the executive board at MTU, who is the network's patron. Since then, AeroPride has grown steadily and is now represented at five locations. The aim of the network is to create a protected space for queer employees, provide new impetus for collaboration within the company, achieve more queer inclusion and participation, and break down prejudices and barriers. The next highlight is the CSD in Munich on the 22nd of June. For the first time, AeroPride will represent MTU with a foot group. Let’s celebrate in rainbow colors! Boarding completed! 🎫 Last week, we welcomed 57 future apprentices and dual students together with their parents to our Boarding Day at the Munich site. The Boarding Day takes place every year a few months before the start of training in order to optimally prepare the new apprentices for their start in September and to give their parents the opportunity to get to know their children's training company. Exploring the World with MTU Last summer, our aircraft mechanic apprentices from MTU Maintenance Hannover were able to work in the Netherlands, as part of their dual study program. Jolin, Dirk, Lukas, Tom, and Gerion gained valuable experience in aviation maintenance and made important contacts for their professional future, while improving language and intercultural competence skills.
