Exciting sustainability innovation news coming from Interface! Ever heard of captured carbon? It’s a new raw material that Interface is using to lower the carbon footprint of our carpet tiles for customers across the US and Europe! Captured carbon stores carbon emissions produced through chemical manufacturing processes before they can be released into the air. The emissions are captured, purified, and reintegrated into a high-performance material that we’ve used for many years! This innovation aligns with our commitment to be ‘all in’ on carbon negative by 2040 by avoiding, reducing, and storing more carbon!

This time, our team in the Netherlands worked with Coffee Based, an innovative company that transforms coffee waste into biobased materials. The result? New reusable coffee cups that help us save an impressive 400,000 cardboard cups annually! These #CoffeeBased cups are not only stylish but also eco-friendly. Made from coffee grounds and husks with a plant-based binder, they’re fully bio-based and free from harmful melamine's and formaldehydes.
