Celebrating Tech Sisterhood at Cognyte: A Story of Mentorship and Growth🌱 This International Women's Day, we're celebrating Tech Sisterhood's power to break barriers and empower others! This is a story about three Cognyt(h)ers who were part of the Tech Career Israel initiative. This program helps young Ethiopian Israelis overcome employment challenges and achieve career goals in the tech industry. 🎀Isabela C., is Solution Manager and team leader at Cognyte, served as a mentor in the Tech Careers program, helping students see that technology goes beyond coding and emphasizes the importance of soft skills. 💃🏻Danielle Yaffe is Talent Acquisition Team Manager, shared her expertise with the students on how to succeed during job interviews and applications. 🌷Eden Genet Tasama, who was once a student in the Tech Career program, embarked on a journey that led her to Cognyte as a Backend Developer. ♾️And here's the beautiful full circle: Today, Eden has become a mentor herself, paying it forward and inspiring others on their tech journeys. This International Women's Day, we're spotlighting the beautiful things that can happen when women support each other. 👭Sisterhood is a powerful force that inspires and motivates. When needed, sisterhood also provides comfort and empathy. During the last year, we had multiple opportunities to see the power of sisterhood in action at Cognyte: 👩💻Tech Sisterhood: A series of meetups we hosted in our office for women seeking to enter the tech industry. ⚖️Gender-neutral language: Our talent acquisition team assessed and adjusted job descriptions on our career site to ensure gender neutrality. 🙌Rising Together: A leadership development program for women managers and team leaders, provides participants with the mindset, skillset, and tools to succeed in leadership roles. 🙋♀️Aspirations require visible inspirations! So we ensured a more balanced gender representation on our website, social media pages, and digital campaigns. In the coming days, we will share some beautiful stories about sisterhood from Cognyte's corridors. It is our privilege to recognize the incredible Cognyt(h)ers, not just on International Women's Day, but every single day! Happy International Women's Day to all the incredible women who inspire, empower, and contribute to the strength and progress of our global community.
A week after our annual kick-off event, we are still deliberating on how to describe it. A few words that come to mind: uplifting🚀, inspiring💡, vibrant✨, exciting🤩, playful😋... However, the special vibe had to be felt in person. Thanks a lot to all the Cognyters who joined us from all over the world to share this incredible experience with us.
