Avangrid has announced it has expanded an existing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally-owned provider of electric and natural gas services, by adding another 159.2 Megawatts (MW) of capacity from its Peñascal power generation project.

Congratulations to the winners in our Accelerators “Pitch Program”! 🏆💪 In the Renewables and Corporate category, winners were Samantha Curnyn & Liam Griese for their project "Wind Blade Repurposing." Runner-up was Kelsey Ouellette for "Chatbot for Biodiversity-related Regulations." In the Networks category, the winner was Genevieve Rowe for "Restructuring Networks SCADA Alarms of Interest," and runner-up was Bridget Franklin for "Networks Contractor Compliance Automation." The Avangrid Accelerators Program incubates employee ideas that address OneAvangrid objectives of continuous improvement and hashtag#innovation, and turns them into tangible results. This year, we have 30 Accelerators leading 19 projects. Participants are empowered with training in design thinking, communications, and business case development.
