𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆: 𝗔 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s easy to feel disconnected. We scroll through social media, send quick texts, and attend virtual meetings, but how often do we truly connect with others? One answer lies in a skill we often overlook: empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand and share another person’s perspective. It’s the cornerstone of human connection, allowing us to build meaningful relationships both personally and professionally. We were fortunate to have Mimi Nicklin join us last year to talk about empathy, a skill that matters not only in the workplace but also in tackling global challenges.
𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 At Adaptive, culture is more than just words on a website; it’s something we practice, constantly evolving and shaped by our collective actions and attitudes. In 2012, when Adaptive was first established, we all fit in a room, so fostering relationships and cultivating shared values came naturally. Now, 13 years later, we’re a global company with offices in Barcelona, London, Manila, Montreal, and New York and count a few hundred people globally. Writing things down as we continue to expand helps us preserve those values and serves as a guiding principle for our work and interactions. 👉 Read the full blog below: https://weareadaptive.com/life-at-adaptive/adaptives-core-values/

Why Is the Initial Call with the Recruitment Team so Important? “Why should I speak with you? You’re not even technical; you’re HR.” If you’ve ever thought the initial call with the recruitment team isn’t necessary, it’s time to set the record straight. First, let’s clarify a common misconception: recruiters are not HR. While HR focuses on maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring organizational compliance, Talent Acquisition is dedicated to finding and securing top talent and, most importantly, providing the best recruitment experience ever. Our expertise lies in understanding the job market, evaluating candidates, and ensuring a perfect fit between you and Adaptive. As talent acquisition specialists, our role is pivotal in the hiring process. We work closely with technical teams and hiring managers to grasp the nuances of each role. Although we may not write code daily, rest assured that we know what we are talking about. Let’s be honest: no one knows everything. If we did, we’d be coding, testing, managing projects, and more—all at once! Now that we’ve cleared this up, let’s delve into why your conversation during the initial call with the recruitment team is crucial and how it’s about more than just your technical skills. We are celebrating last week's International Men’s Day with a spotlight on this year’s inspiring theme: "Positive Male Role Models." → 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 👨 Reflect on the positive male role models in your life. Who inspires you? Whether through kindness, dedication, or helpfulness, their everyday actions make a significant difference, even in the simplest acts of encouragement or kindness.
