Investing in the future of vehicle repair 🚗 1st Central and KC Autos are piloting a new apprenticeship pathway to help young people enter the UK body shop and accident repair industry. This partnership uses 1st Central’s apprenticeship levy to support hands-on careers, starting with James, a new MET technician apprentice at KC Autos. Ian Pratt, Engineering Manager at 1st Central shares: “There’s a well-known skills shortage across the repair sector, particularly in technical roles. If we don’t create better entry points now, that gap will only widen. This isn’t just about today’s repairs it’s about the long-term sustainability of the industry.”" By working closely with our repair partners, we’re building skills for the next generation while continuing to deliver high-quality repairs for customers. 👏 A great example of collaboration we're proud to shine a light on this National Apprenticeship Week.
We got wrapped up in the festive spirit with an evening of Christmas wreath-making led by Bunches of Sussex and supporting our charity partner YoungMinds.🎄 Did you know wreath-making dates back to the 7th century? Although it was the Victorians who turned it into the Christmas decoration we all know and love today. Shout-out to Abigail Widdup for organising such a fun event! Tuesday: Pride and Pour Coffee Morning A chance to “espresso” yourself over coffee, hosted by Morgan Nik Harris. Today: Baked with Pride A delicious bake sale supporting the Terrence Higgins Trust and World AIDS Day. Thursday: Pride Happy Hour A casual afterwork gathering to connect with our LGBTQ+ Network and colleagues. Friday: Pride Perspectives A panel discussion hosted by Andrew Flewitt (MCIPD), featuring insights from Ali Carter, DipESG, Ben Thompson, Devon-Louise Cooper, and Martha Tierney. We're thrilled to share that our Policy Review Specialist Lily Roberts had the chance to experience Taylor Swift's Era Tour at Wembley Stadium last Month, all thanks to YOUFirst Social. In celebration of World Music Day, we gave our colleagues the chance to win two Hospitality tickets to this iconic event. After a highly entered draw, Lily was the lucky winner and enjoyed the concert from a Reserved Premium Seat with a fantastic view.
