      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez shopkick en nov. 2012

      Entretien

I applied online and was contacted soon after. I was given an assignment that involved creating Pinterest boards and composing creative copy. I submitted my homework and was contacted the next day and asked to come into the office. I met with 3 members of the Content team, one of whom would be my boss. They were all very kind, considerate, interesting, and friendly. I felt very comfortable and could tell that they liked me. I was led to believe that I was the top candidate, that I was almost in the door. I was told that the Content Curator position was just an entry-point into the company, that I could go into any direction I wanted, and I'd be an ideal addition to the company. I left and was told I'd be contacted within a week. I was emailed the same night and was asked to come in again, the next day, to meet the CEO. I arrived on time and the CEO came into the office, sat down, and assumed an unwavering, unblinking hypnotic stare at me. With hawk-like eye contact during the entire interview he attempted to judge the very roots of my character by guiding me through a couple of visualizations, neither of which in hindsight seemed to be nothing more than an evaluation of my threat level to his authority. I cooperated and answered all questions to the best of my ability. He then explained the concept of his company citing a mantra regarding mobile devices he invented (I later saw him repeat this pretentious quote in a couple youtube videos) and made it sound like it was the most groundbreaking tech startup to date. I was later informed via email (after the weekend) that they had gone with another candidate. I wanted to know the reason so I asked but still haven't had a response... I would like to say that all employees I casually met during my visits were extremely kind and welcoming. But I would suggest you be prepared for an intensive interview process.
