I had the pleasure of experiencing the hiring process for Engineering Manager role at Samedi. The process was well documented, well organised (2 weeks from intro to offer) and very pragmatic.
The highlights I noticed:
- The Head of Engineering was the hiring manager, giving me a good overview of the tech culture of the company from the first touch point. He was very responsive and easy to contact.
- The technical interview was done in a single session, and focused on pragmatic daily skills rather than theory
- The team felt like they all genuinely enjoy working with each other on both a personal and professional level, proven by a high retention and promotion rate
Overall, I was very happy with the offer I received on both the financial and role level, and only decided on a different opportunity due to personal career direction decisions.
