The short story is that the Senior Director of Development never called for a confirmed 2nd phone interview at the prearranged time and date with no notice at all. They just totally ignored me. The process started out great. I sent a cover letter and resume to a position posted on-line. 2 days later I received an email requesting a phone interview which we scheduled for the next day, a Thursday. That phone interview went extremely well I thought and ~30 mins after it ended I received a phone call from the HR person requesting a 2nd phone interview with a Senior Director of Development. and expressing serious interest in my experience. That interview was scheduled and confirmed for the following Monday. The HR person also emailed a company application and form for references requesting they be filled out ASAP. The application and references were filled out completely and returned later that day, Thursday. I spent significant time over the weekend preparing for the Monday interview. The time for the confirmed 2nd phone interview on Monday came and went with no phone call, no emails, no nothing. After 25 mins, I sent an email to the HR person. 20 mins later the HR person responds saying "I think a meeting came up today at the last minute. Are you available ..." A tentative meeting was scheduled for 2 days later, subject to confirmation which never happened and I have not heard any more from them at all. They have all just totally ignored me. I found it extremely sloppy and unprofessional to totally blow me off with no notice at all. I have my suspicions about why but no real information. I suspect they saw my salary history and desired salary which was more than what they were willing to pay and decided to just ignore me. No notice. No "Thanks but no thanks,". No nothing. Just let me waste my weekend preparing for an interview that would never happen. I wish I had read the reviews from employees, about the poor management and work environment before scheduling the phone interviews! I certainly will before any future interviews with any companies!
