      Entretien

      I had been wanting to work for iCIMS for some time and was pleased by all aspects of the process. Even if you are not hired in the first round, the TA team keeps you fully in the loop and you pick up where you left off previously in the process -- you do not have to start from the very beginning with the aptitude tests again. My first step was an initial call with a recruiter, who kept me in the loop every step of the way. It should also be noted that the recruiter was genuine about staying in touch and never made me feel like I was something that had to be "checked off" a list throughout the day. Even living in a pandemic world and seeing that we are loaded down with tasks like never before, it would be easy and understandable to make the process impersonal -- but that never happened. Next, I took two aptitude tests. It is worth it to study for as long as you need to for the CCAT portion of the test, especially if you get a little nervous taking tests like I do. The score is sent to the recruiter, who then got in touch to help facilitate interviews. Depending on your role, you might interview with one or more people. The interview was one of the calmest I have ever had, as it was a genuine conversation between us. You will complete these interviews feeling informed (but not overloaded) with a clear viewpoint of the company culture and objectives. It is also a great forum to ask any questions you might have, and they are very open about making themselves available to answer additional questions that may come to mind after the fact. Though not selected for the role I had initially interviewed for, the recruiter got back in touch with me a few days later and asked if I would be open to a different position that they felt I was more suited for. I said yes and we were able to schedule another interview -- which again was more like a conversation and diffused any nerves that I had about shifting gears, so to speak. A few days later, I received an offer and was delighted to accept. Everything moved along at a steady pace and I received communication either via email or phone if there was ever going to be time where there might incur a slight delay (due to holidays falling in the calendar week, etc.). Each person I spoke with was friendly, informative and honest, which definitely makes a huge impact on the candidate side of the hiring process. I think one of the most important things is that if you are the right fit for the company, they are willing to find the right role for you!
