Three rounds of interviews, one phone screening with recruiter, one panel interview with senior representatives, one interview with hiring manager. Overall the interviews were easy. Everyone but one interviewer showed a lack of professionalism over-disclosing, and this is a company dealing with very sensitive data, which is very concerning. For the second round panel interview, one interviewer didn't turn on her camera, neither me or the other interviewer even acknowledged it or seemed to care, but she made it a point to explain how she hadn't showered and wasn't prepared for the day yet, at 4pm in the afternoon, and won't be turning on her camera. She also stepped away from the interview to "take an escalation". She wasn't present for the interview and people are relying on her to make a decision about my future with the company. The other interviewer was very kind, very present in the conversation, professional, she provided the best interaction out of all of the interviewers, she deserves a raise and promotion. The interview with the hiring manager was scheduled and confirmed for 3 days, was rescheduled the morning of, for a later date. The hiring manager interview was scheduled for 30 minutes, he ran the interview to almost an hour. He was wearing a hoodie, had bed hair, was using a standing desk and positioned the camera in attempt to crop out the physical lack of professionalism. I asked the hiring manager what about the company or his accomplishments within the company makes him most proud because the entire interview he seemed burnt out on the company, he said he isn't proud of anything but the company has accomplished very big tasks. His response was candid about the difficulties of a project but not professional at all. The hiring manager directed me back to the recruiter, I sent an e-mail on Friday to follow up. The recruiter promptly acknowledged me, but ghosted me for 11 days before finally communicating they would not be moving forward with an offer.
