      Entretien pour Implementation Specialist

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez eCivis en févr. 2021

      Entretien

I had several interviews with the Exec who would be the boss for this role. It was a very negative experience. Little consideration was shown me as a candidate with a full-time job as there was not much advanced notice to squeeze in interviews, and they were lengthy in time. Several interviews in the hiring manager suddenly asked about my ability to travel - WHAT? This was NOT posted in the job description and I would not have applied if it had been properly put in the posting. Instead I wasted time not only applying but as mentioned in multiple interviews. So I was taken aback to be asked this off the cuff in one of my last interviews and no time was given to allow me to think about this since it was sprung on me. I was not going to say immediately say yes that's fine with me, bc he was not upfront even with how much I would need to travel. Who would say a blind yes? As someone who has traveled extensively for business in the past, this is no small thing. Since no details were offered I had to ask questions about how often, how travel was arranged etc. I was not happy about being blindsided. However, economists talk about 'sunk costs' and when I got one final interview invite with a VP I accepted. However, having squeezed in so many interviews on short notice, I could not fit another in until the end of the week they requested it. Therefore, imagine my shock and anger when I received an email just a couple of days before my last interview saying they had offered someone else the job. Extremely rude that after all the time I had already invested they couldn't wait a couple more days until my interview. Guess they just wanted a warm body, not to consider all their final candidates. Good luck with that. The only good thing is I am sure with their lack of organization and planning (you suddenly decide this role should travel) and arrogance in scheduling I can tell from that behavior what a horrible place this would be to work at. So I advise anyone who wants to work in a great culture and professional environment to steer clear of eCivis.
