      Entretien

***TOTAL Waste of Time and Effort BEWARE*** Seven interviews. Two C-suite convos. 2 in-person. A full talent strategy and case study built on my own time, with my own thinking. As I awaited an offer, I get an email saying they decided they weren't ready and needed to "get things in order first." After all of that investment, their decision landed in my inbox — no call, no accountability, no regard for what they asked of me. This isn't a hiring misstep. This is who they are. If the interview process (you know, where they're supposed to be putting their best foot forward) looks like this... I genuinely cannot imagine what it's like on the inside. The internal disorganization was visible from where I was standing as a candidate. Three CEOs in two years, reports of mass layoffs used to paper over lack of strategy. These aren't growing pains — they're symptoms of an org that has 0 accountability. They extracted real strategic work from me — proprietary thinking I developed without compensation — and closed the process by email. I had to formally request in writing that my work remain confidential and not be used. That I even had to ask says it all. Bottom line: If you're a high-caliber candidate who respects your own time and expertise, this process will make you feel like neither matters. And if it's this broken from the outside, save yourself. I know I dodged a bullet; you can too.

      Question 1

Design us a comprehensive talent strategy to fix our broken operation -presented to a 4-person international panel. Cool cool cool. Totally normal interview question and not at all free consulting. 🙃

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We understand how this experience felt, especially given the time and effort you invested throughout the process. For a role of this scope — one focused on shaping talent strategy and contributing to broader organizational direction — our process is intentionally thorough. It’s designed to create space for meaningful conversations and to understand how candidates approach complex, real-world challenges. That said, we recognize that the level of depth and time required is a significant commitment, and we appreciate the thought and care you brought to it. We hear your feedback on how the process unfolded and how the final decision was communicated. While we aim to handle every stage with clarity and respect, it’s clear this did not land as intended. We also want to address your concern regarding the materials you shared. Work completed as part of our interview process is treated as confidential and is not used beyond evaluation for the role. More broadly, your feedback on the experience — including expectations and communication — is noted. We continuously review how we structure interviews for roles at this level to ensure they are both rigorous and respectful of candidates’ time. We appreciate you sharing your perspective. It’s important feedback, and it helps us continue to improve. We wish you all the best moving forward.
