First, I was sent an "are you stupid" test. Then, they asked for a project: a chat application using the Slim framework. I passed this stage, and I had 2 stages remaining: a video interview and a day at the office. However, I was eliminated during the video interview phase. What I find ridiculous is this: I've previously received acceptances and rejections from many places, and those are not the issue. The common procedure is to initially invite a potential candidate for a video interview. If you meet the criteria, they send you a technical project to complete. If you succeed in that, and if necessary, you're invited for a technical interview, which initiates the hiring process. The company also has an additional stage of spending a day at the office, which is acceptable. Yet, in my case, during the video interview, I was supposed to talk to the team leader, and he didn't ask me any technical questions whatsoever. The Human Resources department, which should have conducted a prior interview, ended up holding it after the project submission. This lasted about 10 or 15 minutes. He didn't ask any decisive questions. Furthermore, I answered the questions he asked, even if they were simple, properly. If they weren't considering hiring me, why did they take my time for the project? If you've reached the technical test stage when applying, it's best to communicate with them beforehand. I've been through job interviews many times, and this is the first time I've encountered such a poor process.

Applied for the role, was sent a logic and personality test, which I completed. Received a link for a "Skills Test", but it was the link to my old logic test. Replied to the recruiter asking for a new link and got one a day later. Completed two very basic algorithmic questions and got a 3rd question asking me to implement a chat application backend in PHP. Here's the catch: you are asked to upload a .zip file with your code, but the assessment platform only accepts file formats of PDF, Docx, or Excel files. Job description also was edited after I applied to remove a line saying "or Java" under "PHP". From everything I can see this is not the type of shop you should be looking for, and this very muddled application process only confirmed that for me, so I withdrew my candidacy.
