Found the job on careerbuilder.com. Applied, heard back the next day from a recruiter saying they liked my resume and wanted me to take an online IQ/personality test. Took it that day (took approx. 1.5 hours), and heard back within a day or two from a different recruiter who said she wanted to set up a phone interview.
Did the phone interview the next day. It was filled with general questions probably aimed at seeing how good of a communicator I was. There were no technical questions or questions specific to the position.
Heard back shortly after the phone interview to set up a 1:1 interview with my would-be boss. Before the 1:1 interview, they had me retake the IQ/personality test at the office, presumably to make sure I wasn't cheating at home when I took it. I have heard there is an 18% pass rate with the test, so it's not very easy. 1:1 interview went pretty well (about an hour). Was then told I would hear back from a recruiter within a week.
I didn't hear anything back from the recruiter the following week, so I called her up and she said my would-be boss was actually out of the office that entire week. No problem. Heard back from the recruiter shortly after and she wanted to set up a second interview.
Second interview was with boss' boss and lasted about 45 minutes. Didn't go nearly as well as I hoped it would - interviewer wasn't very receptive to what I was saying. Was told I would hear back soon about the job, but I didn't get my hopes up.
Didn't hear back from Zywave for at least a week and a half. Finally called the recruiter to ask where the company was in the hiring process, and she said decisions were still being made.
Finally heard back from the recruiter the next week and she offered me the job. Turns out Zywave was in the process of hiring about 30 new people, hence the long waits in between interviews. Quite frankly, I was very surprised they offered me the job, but I couldn't accept the job fast enough.
Questions d'entretien [2]
Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to meet multiple deadlines in a short time frame.
The online evaluation they make you take before you have an interview is a little grueling, but everyone has to do it. Obviously some skills they evaluate matter less for a writer than for a developer and vice versa. Advice is to allow lots of time to complete it and find yourself a quiet place to do it. I then had a phone interview which I enjoyed because all of the recruiters at the time were super nice and helpful - very down to earth. I then had an interview with the editor and brought in samples of my writing that I felt were relevant. Before I met with her though I had to take part of the online evaluation again at their office - they do this to everyone too. And don't try to cheat. They've caught people trying to sneak in calculators and things like that which isn't worth it. They're not looking expecting people to get 100% on these. I then had a 2nd in person interview where I met with few of the other team members and was able to learn more about what it's like to work for Zywave. I was then offered the position by the recruiter the next day over the phone.

Question 1
I think the most difficult or unexpected part of the whole process was the online evaluation, just because it takes a long time and it sort of makes you wonder how they're evaluating your results.

Pretty detailed process. Overall a positive experience. Process consisted of a brief phone interview, taking an online aptitude and personality assessment, a face to face interview in which a portion of the online assessment was retaken, and then a second face to face interview. To their credit, they moved quickly in and out of the steps in the process and did a good job of communicating during the process.
