Very quick to email me after applying which was nice- I set up a time to meet with them within a few days. I had (what I thought was) a fantastic interview, meeting with the woman who would have been my supervisor, along with two other women, the company recruiter and an exec assistant to one of the founders. The vibe was casual and friendly, we talked about my job background and what the position entailed, and everyone was very enthused with my experience and i quote, "great culture fit" for the role. No glaring red flags to speak of, save for everyone coming off a little stressed out/scatterbrained and possibly overworked. All of the positive talk of my fit with the company, the future I would have there, was what I thought a good sign.
I was told I would be contacted within a week or so once a decision was made either way. I sent a thank you email promptly, and was very excited for the opportunity, expressing my enthusiasm, and received no response. Plus I never heard back about the position itself, despite following up a couple of weeks later. It is incredibly rude, deeply disappointing, and plain unprofessional on their behalf. Take the time to respond.
