J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez YAPI en sept. 2020
Entretien
First interview over the phone just to get to know you initially and tell you about the position. Got an email and confirmed a second appointment for a virtual interview with HR and the recruiter. Got an email for the third interview with lead and manager of the actual department I'm applying for.
The interview all seemed very relaxing and friendly. They ask you standard behavioral questions like tell me a time when you had a disagreement with a coworker and how you handled it. They seemed impressed by my answer. I felt very confident I was going to get the position once I got the third interview completed. Nothing seemed like a red flag to me. But ultimately, I got an email saying they were moving on and I got no offer or explanation why they moved on. I'd like to think the person they hired blew them out of the water.

Not a good experience. A couple of back-and-forth emails to set up the first phone call with a non technical employee. They had virtually no knowledge of the role I was applying to, so they couldn't answer any technical questions (understandable, I guess), or even the make-up of the team (iirc). In fact, the person sounded like they were reading from a script. Definitely didn't feel like a conversation. They kept telling me I could ask my technical questions from the technical staff (makes sense, I suppose). Still, most companies should have recruiting staff that have at least a basic understanding of the role. I figured the interview with the technical team would have more weight, but nope. Didn't even get to that point. They somehow concluded that I was not fit for the position, likely because I told them (in an honest way) that I was let go from my last company, and explained why. I suppose they didn't like that, and automatically concluded that I wouldn't be a good fit. Companies that judge you in this way (where they don't bother assessing your technical skills and experience) are not companies that are worth your time. And looking at other technical interviews on here, it sounds like they don't have the best culture. You are better off looking elsewhere.
