I really like the interview process of xylem. They are not like other companies who conduct multiple round and still not ask right questions.
I had only 3 rounds here at Xylem and every round of interview has a specific purpose:
(1) 1st Written Test: There was a 15 minute online test which you can take from home. This is basically to understand your software testing fundamentals and concepts.
(2) 2nd Round Technical Interview, Telephonic: This is complete technical interview where interviewer was very knowledge full and he asked me very conceptual questions in java and selenium. With very precise questions he touched upon all the major concepts of java and selenium which requires for automation. They will dip dig in your basic knowledge of programming and selenium webdriver.
(3) 3rd Round, Managerial: This was all about what I have done previously. Since the Test Manage was not onboard Dev manager took my interview. This interview was also very precise and done in highly professional manner. He asked me very relevant question to my past work and to understand my analytical skills he also asks me some puzzles , even though I was not able to solve them 100% but all he was looking at my approach towards the problem and he mentioned the same when I asked about feedback for my puzzle solving skills(he said the intention was to understand your approach and not you to crack the problem).
And this is it, last round was HR discussion, which was again very transparent and very professional.
Best thing I like about this company interview is, they will not conduct 10s of rounds like some other companies do. But whatever rounds they conduct, the way they dip dig in the technical concepts and the way they analyze a person is impressive.
