Interview process was clearly mentioned well before by the talent team. Got constant updates on the statuses.
First round HR screening: understanding of our previous experience and skills
Second round - Code refactor Discussion: Mentions about not necessary to refactor well before the interview but they expect you to do so. I did my homework and refactored the code and presented few more ideas what can be done during the interview. Few questions were asked based on the suggestions and asked to present the architecture of my previous projects which I did
I was informed that I would be great fit but they would want more experience in senior role but happy to consider for a mid level which I was happy to proceed
Third round- meet the team: Had a discussion with couple of managers and they asked more behavioural questions which they were happy with and I was literally told they are looking for a person like me.
HR status : happy to take me on one of the team but unfortunately they can’t find a team :O which was shocking as they did all the interview process and gave such an answer which if they know that they don’t have a requirement then there is no point wasting time.

Question 1
Explain previous Architecture of any project worked on.
Nil, was rejected on CV submission with no reason given and no feedback despite meeting the criteria for the role, at least on paper. Very opaque process. Disappointed considering the reputation of the company.
It's quite easy. Just some questions about the general technologies. No tricky questions. But I've heard the experience also depends on team by team. They are large organization, so the culture is very mixed.

1st round 1 hour HR Screening.
2nd round 1 hour technical - coding on Hackerrank.
3rd round 1 hour system design on Hackerrank.
4th round 1 hour behavioural with hiring manager.
Unfortunately after a verbal offer following the 4th round there was a week of radio silence, followed by a phone call informing the role is no longer available due to team restructure/repurpose. Quite disappointing overall considering the amount of time you have to spend on the interview process. A hiring freeze before such a move is much more appropriate approach and ensures you won't waste time of candidates, engineers running the interviews and HR coordinating the whole process.
