      Entretien

I recently had an interview with the CEO of Xendoo, and I must say that the experience left me quite disappointed. Here are some key points that affected my overall perception of the company and the interview process: Rescheduling at the Last Minute: The CEO requested a last-minute rescheduling of the interview, asking for a 15-minute session outside of regular business hours. This not only inconvenienced me but also raised concerns about the company's respect for candidates' time and the professionalism of the interview process. Lack of Seriousness: During the interview, the CEO took the call while in their car, leading to frequent disruptions in our conversation. This gave me the impression that the CEO was not fully committed or serious about the interview. A focused and uninterrupted discussion is essential to assess a candidate's suitability for a position. Irrelevant Questions: Instead of focusing on the position I applied for, the CEO primarily asked me questions unrelated to the role. While it's understandable to assess cultural fit, it is crucial to address the specific skills, experiences, and qualifications relevant to the position. This lack of alignment left me questioning the company's understanding of their own hiring needs. Lack of Compensation Information: Xendoo failed to provide any indication of the package bracket or salary range for the position. This lack of transparency makes it challenging for candidates to evaluate the potential fit and alignment of their career goals with the company. Sharing this information upfront would greatly improve the candidate experience. Confidential Job Posting: I discovered that the job listing for the position was marked as "confidential" on job listing websites. This raised concerns about the legitimacy of the posting and gave the impression that the CEO may have been more interested in gathering free ideas from applicants rather than genuinely filling the role. Transparency and clarity in job postings are vital for maintaining trust and professionalism. In conclusion, my interview experience with the Xendoo CEO fell short of my expectations. The rescheduling, lack of seriousness, irrelevant questions, absence of compensation information, and a confidential job posting left me with reservations about the company's values, transparency, and professionalism. I hope that Xendoo takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their interview process to ensure a more positive and respectful candidate experience. Disclaimer: This review reflects my personal experience and perspective, and others may have different encounters or opinions. Pros: None identified Cons: Last-minute rescheduling, lack of seriousness, irrelevant questions, lack of compensation information, confidential job posting

As you hoped, your review is viewed as constructive, we’re appreciative of your perspective and find it helpful. Likewise, we hope that you’ll find our perspective helpful to you. Our CEO is known for accomplishing more in a single day than most people do in two weeks. This attribute has been instrumental in our success and record-breaking growth. Nevertheless, we understand that rescheduling can be inconvenient. Considering your candidacy for the high-level position of "Director of Marketing," we recognize the value of your time, as you too achieve significant milestones daily. Consequently, we rescheduled the 15-minute call outside regular business hours as a gesture of respect for your busy work schedule. As you noted, our CEO spoke to you while en route to another business meeting, this again, was her way of extending a courtesy to you in speaking as soon as possible since she was unable to speak to you at the initially scheduled time. As to the nature of the conversation of the phone call, it’s important to understand that we view this as a high-level position. Your resume, provided ample evidence that you possess the necessary skills and experience, therefore, you were invited to have a phone call with the CEO, which served as a preliminary screening for culture-fit. Specific skills, experiences and qualifications relevant to the role are to be assessed by our Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing in subsequent in-person interviews. We’re in the process of building out our entire marketing team and all candidates are being considered not only for their fit for the Director of Marketing role but potentially other positions on the team. Therefore, discussions regarding salary range and commission structure would be premature until all candidates have been evaluated to establish our ideal Marketing Team. Confidentially listing job postings is a common practice among businesses. This is done to minimize the influx of calls and emails from headhunters and recruiting agencies that result from public postings. It is a measure we prefer to take to avoid such disruptions. Once again, we’re grateful for your feedback and we’re glad Glassdoor provided us with this opportunity to clear the air.
