Had a screening call with a recruiter and got a rejection message saying they didn't want to proceed. Explained that I have 10 years of experience including some in healthcare. A week later got the rejection email without talking to anyone.

1/ Do you want to go through 4 rounds of Leetcode style algorithm questions irrespective of the role you interview for?
2/ Do you want the recruiting team to talk down on everything else in engineering like data science, frontend engineering and speak BFS, DFS and tree algorithms are all that matter?
3/ Do you want to have an on-site without system design for a senior role?
4/ Do you want to have the chief in tech be biased and not being inclusive?
5/ Do you want to work in a company that is extremely niche in its product without a long-term vision and navigate a vulnerable space?
If YES, then Xealth is for you.
Everyone else was extremely friendly and polite except for the recruiting team who basically disregard on your experience and expertise and that grumpy round of interview you need to go through.
More on #4, he was extremely unfriendly. Right from the beginning, I was set up for failure in that round. I couldn't shake the thought that am I going to be working under someone like this who leads the entire engineering org. He literally asked me "Are you from ABC country?" just because my internet was little wonky and I looked a certain way even though I live in the US for more than 10 years. Throughout that round I felt uncomfortable and couldn't perform as I would have wanted to.
Advice to you the team, though you will dismiss it like you did with the other review that named the same round as me.
1/ Be inclusive.
2/ Avoid implicit bias.
3/ Learn to make your candidates comfortable.
4/ Be transparent in your interview process.

Apparently they still haven't accepted the advice of folks on here regarding their "take home project".
Most startups, who are interested in not missing out on top talent have stopped attempting to condition next steps in the process for a candidate by requiring them to spend hours and hours of their time coding w/o any reassurance on their side that it won't be a complete waste of time.
I actually went ahead and completed the project (silly me), mainly because I found it was an interesting problem to solve, and I couldn't find any solutions in the internet using my choice of technology. So I figured, worst case scenario, I'll be the owner of the one solution on my GitHub for others to see.
I turned it in, only to get a reply a few days later saying that based on the "picture developed" from my "background" and "abilities" they weren't moving forward. No other explanation.
I know my code solution worked, so not sure what their reasoning was here. I even replied and politely asked what exactly may have been wrong w/ the solution I sent them, but only received radio silence.
Every job I've had in my career didn't require me to jump through the ridiculous loop of hours-long "take home" projects. I'm pretty sure I won't be jumping through this hoop anymore in the future.
Anyway. Their loss, regarding someone w/ advanced expertise in the areas they need talent for.
