J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez XTO Energy (Spring, TX) en juil. 2019

      Entretien

The whole process from initial communication prior to the interview and the interview itself was unprofessional. First off, I don't think XTO has HR reps since all my communication came from non-HR employees. Someone in Midland, TX emailed me about setting up an interview. The non-HR person was some Materials Coordinator (no degree) that doesn't have a clue about Category Management. During the interview, which took 2.5 hours of my life that I will never get back, there were 3 different panels with 2 people in each panel. The first panel was over the phone with two people in Midland, the Materials Coordinator and the Regional Procurement Manager. The Manager was like 20 minutes late to join the call so he only had like 25 minutes to ask questions which felt rushed. The call ran over a few minutes and the next two interviewees entered the room and sat down while it was still going on. The last question from the Materials Coordinator was what my salary expectation was. With 2 of my potential peers in the room she asks that question!! I submitted my salary on the job application but apparently, that info wasn’t disseminated to the people giving the interview at XTO. What a joke! The second panel interviewees were XTO employees, (moved over from ExxonMobil) but they asked good questions and were polite. The third panel were current ExxonMobil employees. One of the guys was nice, the second was full of himself. Very arrogant. Didn't smile once. The company itself is in the dark ages. No company-wide ERP, everything is very manual. No processes or procedures for Supply Chain either. I was told all that is "in work". WTH has ExxonMobil been doing since they acquired XTO. I wouldn’t waste time with interviewing unless you can get the salary range for the role prior to scheduling an interview and you like working for a company that is about 20 years behind similar companies in technology and processes.
