I got an invitation from a recruiter to pass the first phone screening with an engineer, which was a mix of discussion about my previous experience, my views on different topics and a small task. The task was using a FastAPI REST API to make some requests to the endpoint, retrieve the data and process it. Pretty trivial stuff. Got the task done, had a nice experience talking to the interviewer. Was rejected 2 weeks after that, without any feedback whatsoever. Absolutely terrible experience interviewing at this company. Just a waste of my time.
