J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus de 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez World Wide Technology (Remote, OR) en févr. 2019

Pluses:
* Interviewers were very nice and seemed very genuine, and the interviews themselves
were very relaxed.
* I get the logic of having so many interviews. Makes sense in theory.
* The company is a sought after company to work for and was looking forward to potentially
working for them.
* Remote work discussions for my position sounded appealing, though not sure how realistic
they were.
Minuses
* Redundant interviews and questions:- I had two interviews with 2 different HR personnel
that were a week apart, in each interview the exact same questions. Follow up interviews
were with different regional and area heads around the country. All told I think I
had about 7 interviews over a 2 month period. Each interview asked me the same
questions, with very little variety.
* Think you should work on the overall interview process. For example, one of the HR
contacts did not reach out to me to schedule my follow up interviews until a couple of
weeks have passed. I had to actually check in to find out this had been missed for me.
When they did schedule it, I had to prepare for 2 interviews, one by phone and a seperate
video call, back to back in the same day.
I dont think this was fair to me, and I felt that this was done to keep the interviewing
process moving along and not to delay this process for just one candidate.
* No regard was given to those interviewers who are currently employed elsewhere. I
actually had to take a 1/2 day off from my current position for the aforementioned multi-
interview day.
* While the interviewing process at WWT should (by design) better ensure good hires, it also
will keep out qualified and dedicated candidates like myself who dont want to go through a
2-3 month interview process with one company. Times have changed, and most
candidates, especially the Millenial and Gen X candidates (like myself), will not wait for a
company to decide our fate with this timeframe.
* I wasn't offered the position, but I can honestly say that, after being told in my last
interview that there would be 2-3 MORE interviews before the company would make a
decision, (Which brings to interview total for this position to AROUND 10 (!)), I pretty
much decided that I needed to focus my energies elsewhere, which I'm glad I did.

It was easy. Four rounds of interviews resulted in hiring. They are looking for project experience in IT or other transferable skills. The last two interviews were more about team personality fit and less about skills.
