I was contacted by a recruiter within days of applying on Indeed.com to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview was approximately 30 minutes, going over basic work history from my resume, general work experience, why I was interested in the role, my experience working with the individuals they serve, and typical talking points. Recruiter was very friendly and informative, setting expectations for the next steps and what I would need to complete to move forward in the process. I was prompted to complete an application on their website and complete a Predictive Index Survey which was emailed to me.
I moved on to an in person interview with the Director of the market I had applied to work in. This was a comprehensive hour long interview, going into detail about my work experience specific to the job role, covering my skills and experience working with clients, and discussing my experience working with individuals with barriers to employment. The Director was professional, friendly, and answered all of my questions. After the interview I was offered the opportunity to schedule a field-interview with another individual working with clients in the market I applied to work in, to see what the job is really like in the field.
The field interview was two hours and consisted of me shadowing two back to back hour long appointments with a current Career Resource Specialist working with her clients. During this interview I was given the opportunity to discuss the details and expectations of the role, meet clients being served by the company and learn about where they were in the process of their job search, and see how the interviewer utilized some of the tools and systems that are utilized by the company. The interviewer was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer questions and explain what she was doing throughout the sessions with her clients. I gained most of my understanding of the role and what to expect working there from this field interview.
After the field interview I was contacted by a member of the HR Department and offered the job. My experience throughout this entire process was overwhelmingly positive.
