Spoke with the national recruiter regarding the position and what the expectations were. I was told that they would talk to the marketing director and then get back to me with the next steps - that was almost a month ago and I've yet to hear anything. Now the position is no longer posted, so I'm assuming I will not be hearing back at all. Very disappointing as I had heard good things about this company. I don't think I will be applying with them again or recommending them to anyone. It's very unprofessional to just ghost an applicant who is waiting to get a response.

I applied for a Regional Marketing Manager position, provided my resume as well as linkedin profile and it clearly has my background up front on the resume. A person from HR reached out and the interview was an hour long, and it seemingly went great and the interviewer stated she wanted to move me to the next stage. Over a week went by and i received no word, email or call about next steps. I reached out to the interviewer only to get a canned response that they went with someone else. The company posted on their linkedin profile of the person who then got the job, and their qualifications far surpassed mine. Do better and be upfront next time to your candidates who clearly want to work hard. If our qualifications do not align with what you are searching for, do not request an interview. We are people too, and as much as you are interviewing us, we are also interviewing you.
