After I applied, I was contacted by the university recruitment email address who sent a mass email to everyone who applied. Their communication was terrible. After reaching out with a question about the role, no one responded. My interview was scheduled and confirmed a few days later. The university recruiters told us to prepare for STAR behavioral questions as did everyone else who previously interviewed for this program. The interview was terrible. It’s like Wells Fargo picked the least personable, most boring people to conduct the interviews. My interviewer did not smile once, was extremely monotoned and bored, and wouldn’t acknowledge my answers. He was more focused on his computer. After completing a question he would just say ‘thanks. The next question is…’. They threw in a completely unexpected question about how I’d design a grocery store, which the recruiters never mentioned to prepare for. I asked clarifying questions like if he wanted me to design an app, a website, or a systems overview of the store. The interviewer literally gave no clarification and pretty much just said there is no wrong answer. I was rejected two weeks later. Absolute joke of an interview.
