I applied online, and was sent a fairly long hackerrank challenge. Spending 1.5 hours the next day to complete this timed challenge (in which I think I performed really well), the recruiter reaches out 4 hours later to tell me, that "after talking to the hiring team, they are now instead looking for someone with more experience."
This is extremely unprofessional from their side, with absolutely no respect given to the candidate's time. In the age where it is so easy to design a common hackerrank challenge and send to all the candidates, companies should show restraint and only give it those candidates that they are genuinely interested in. It leaves a bad impression about the company which is not good for the organization interested in getting quality talent on board.

I applied for this position online and received a Hackerrank challenge (ML, SQL, coding in 90 minutes) in 10 days. It took another week or so for them to get back and schedule a time to talk with the recruiter. I was told in the middle of the phone screening that they want someone that could start ASAP and with more working experience.
They can easily get that information from my resume before sending over Hackerrank, but they decided to waste applicants' time.
Pretty simple, applied online and got a hackerank challenge.
Challenge mostly consists of basic probability, machine learning mcqs and one coding question.
Study some basic concepts of data mining and machine learning.
