Took over a month after my interview to begin work and then after taking the UA drug testing I was sent to have a vigorous physical doing many exercises. That was never mentioned over the past weeks leading to this. I thought to myself at that point well at least I'm probably going to start working full time soon....finally...but nope...I was wrong. I was then told I had to go to Atlanta for a week for a DTC class. Maybe all this information should be shared with people when they first begin the interview process. Every week there was another surprise or another step to take. It reached a point where I. Thought what's next?? Do they want my DNA or hair follicles or what? Damn. Then I begin eventually and I'm in a truck with broken air conditioner and the door panels on the inside are hanging on by power window wires. Transmission is shifting hard between gears. The truck I'm driving has 315,866 miles on it. I report this info on DVIR and the mechanic and I've told my supervisor. It's over 100 degrees lately then I got the engine heat coming through dashboard and jumping in and out of the truck many times over a 14 hour day on average. I try to take a break when the heat becomes unbearable but instructed to keep moving and keep picking up cans after dealing with the crazy heat for over 5-6:hours I try to take a lunch and bring food with me but I'm being rushed again within 5 minutes. Working more hours daily and weekly than DOT allows and feeling overwhelmed by the extreme heat and no breaks is a big safety concern
