It was actually my sister who wanted to apply but she was under 18 so I applied instead. So yes, you have to be 18 or older to get hired. I applied in July 2012 and I got a call for a one on one interview with the store manager. During my interview, I was asked about a brief summary about myself, to describe a time I solved a problem in the workplace, why I chose to work for the Disney Store, and who was my favorite Disney Character and why. The interview did not feel like an interview because we were just conversing about our love for Disney. It was probably the easiest and best interview I've had so far. I ended up declining the offer at first because I was about to start college that fall but they asked me to think about the offer and give them a call back once I settle my situation. I ended up calling them back in September of that year and I got the job! The training was definitely awesome because it involved Disney characters and such so it was quite enjoyable. I worked with them for 2 years and it was a memorable experience. Since 2013, they've changed the way they hire people. They don't do one on one interviews anymore, instead, they ask you to apply online where you're asked to type your answers for the interview questions.
