I received an email from Disney's recruiter asking me if I do 100% automation and what level of Java I know. First of all, If he looked at my resume he would find this answer. Second, after I emailed him back saying I have intermediate java skills, he replied back "thanks for being honest, but we are looking for someone senior with at least 5 years experience". Gee... why then do you post a job that states "good java skill experience required". Why wouldn't you post "advanced java skill required". Filling out the the online application was waste of time. If Disney is serious about hiring skilled technical professionals they need a better process on filtering candidates. Here's a helpful suggestion, ask some java questions that are provided by the dev team that most java programmers should know. Good luck!

There was a 30 minute call with the hiring manager followed by a single technical interview for only 45 minutes. This is not enough time to pick the right candidate. I did well in the interviews but they chose another candidate for the role and I belive this is in large part due to not spending enough time to interview effectively.
Also the interview was so easy it would be hard to discern a good candidate from the rest.
