I had two phone interviews. The first one was with the recruiter to see what my general background and experience was in the field. The recruiter was trying to find out if I was interested in the position, if I was willing to relocate, and what was my salary expectations.
The second phone interview was with the senior engineer on the team that I was being interviewed for. He asked me a series of technical questions. He tested my basic knowledge of some software engineering, operating systems, SQL, data structures, algorithms, Linux, and problem solving skills. Though I was unable to complete all the different questions and topics successfully, he was willing to explain to me anything I missed or didn't know. He was quite helpful in informing me of things I couldn't solve and to help me learn from those problems.

Coding interview was actually very chill: could use any language to solve 2 problems. Mostly just talked through ideas, no coderpad or similar software. Both problems were fairly similar, involving looping an array and transforming it, avoiding repetition or inefficiency.

This was honestly such a fast and great interview experience.
I had an initial screening (video interview) with the recruiter, then a video interview with my hiring manager, an in-person technical interview at the office, and a final video interview with the director of engineering. Overall, everyone was very kind and there weren't any "gotcha" questions during the technical interview. They asked questions that were relevant to what I would be doing and they were also understanding that I might have not known everything.
I applied in February and completed all of the interviews in 3-4 weeks and I moved very quickly early in the process, so the wait to hear back was long about another 3-4 weeks.
And I got the offer! My recruiter advocated a ton for me and Im super excited to join my team.
