I applied via SmartRecruiters. I received an email that Walmart was interested in my application and I confirmed. Some time passed and I never recevied any follow up. At some point, I missed a call from Arkansas, but did not receive a voicemail or subsequent email. I eventually called the unknown number and realized it was Walmart recruiting and I schedule my first interview. It was weird because it was like dealing with a customer service center. The day before the interview I got an email that Walmart decided not to proceed with my application. Later in the day, I received an email reminding me about my interview for the next day. Since this was a Sunday, I couldn't call to sort out the mixed messages. Monday morning, an hour before my interview I called the "recruiting hotline". While on the call I received another automatic email reminding me about my interview in one hour. The lady confirmed that they decided not to proceed and subsequently canceled my interview. I tried to explain how rude it was to schedule and interview and then drop my application a day before the interview. She just hung up.
