      Entretien

I found out about the job offering browsing my university's career website. It redirected me to the company's website and I applied for the job and I attached my resume and cover letter. About two hours later I received an email from HR saying I passed the initial screening and the next day I received an email telling me to pick a date for a phone interview the following week. I chose the earliest day and time about (around 11 am) and the next week I had the phone interview and it lasted about 15-20 minutes. The only preparation I did was I read the management section of their 10-q form (found on the website) and I skimmed some of their news articles. I was asked pretty generic questions and I pretty talked about how my major was heavily quantitative and my experience with Microsoft Excel which the interviewer stressed was important for the job. Two days after the phone interview I received an email inviting me to an onsite interview about two weeks later. On the day of the interview, I had two one on one interviews. The first was with the supervisor and the second was the director. Both of the interviews had an informal tone. The supervisor asked both behavioral questions as well as questions on my major/work experience to see if I fit what they were looking for. She also gave a very detailed explanation on the duties and responsibilities of the position. The interview with the director was more generic as he simply wanted more information on my work experience. After the interview the supervisor said that HR would contact me around 1-2 weeks later. It's been almost three weeks and I still haven't heard from them.

      Question 1

She actually asked me this particular question twice but phrased it differently the second time. First time: Let's say that one of your assignments with a client lasted much longer than you thought it would and you only have like two hours left and you still have to go meet with three more clients. You still have to finish the meeting with the current client, what do you do? Second time: Let me rephrase that earlier question, let's say that you underestimated the time it would take to do an assignment and there is two hours left and that you still have three more assignments that need to be completed on that day. You see me enter the room to check to see how everyone is doing. What do you do?

I applied online, and got at call back about a month later to come in for an in-person interview. I was interviewed by two people, both managers in the department that I applied for. One as nice and a little awkward, and other seemed a bit rude, almost like he didn't want to be there. They started off by asking me question in categories, all behavioral questions based on problem solving, analytic, teamwork, etc... They then asked question about my resume and whether I had experience with the Microsoft Suit programs. After they ask you questions they ask you if you have any questions for them. They didn't ask any questions about the company itself, but it's still a good idea to review the company on their website. I got a call about two weeks later from the lady in HR telling me I was not selected for the position.

1 Phone interview with the recruiter. 1 Face-to face interview with 4 managers ( 2 and 2). Structured interview; questions about technical skills, past achievements/experience, preparedaness to the position. Cultural fit is very important. It was the most pleasant interview experience for me - friendly managers; fair and to a point answers to all my questions.
