Scheduled an online interview with two engineers from WL Gore. Asked a behavioral question as well as a more engineering-focused question. Then more questions were asked based on the response to their questions i.e. building off of your responses.

Gore was very mysterious about how they select people for this position. During the interview they asked a series of behavioral questions, some basic engineering questions and general conversation. It is very important to answer the engineering questions as fully as possible, brownie points are given if you find something wrong with the question, or give a clever response, perhaps something that will set your answer apart from the other interviewers and still be a correct answer. The interviewer filled out a piece of paper, almost like a grading sheet during the interview. My general feeling was that they were looking for something specific, and weather you had that X-factor or not was completely dependent on how you behaved during the interview. very few questions were asked about my resume, but he used some of my work experience to ask me general questions and start the conversation. Overall, the interviewer was very friendly and positive. looking back, i probably did not get a job offer because i hesitated on one of the engineering questions and didn't have a stellar GPA. While this is my opinion, it is commonly known that they say that GPA is not a huge consideration, and their selection process is very much a mystery.
