The process comprised of three interviews and an online assessment.
First interview was with the hiring manager who provided an excellent insight into the company and the role. The hiring manager asked questions about my background and I felt at ease as the interview was conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The second interview was with the Head of HR, this interview was again conducted in an informal manner, whereby it felt like the interviewer was talking to you like “a person” and not a robot as per other interviews whereby it’s very formulaic. I also was given an insight into the dynamics of the office, the benefits on offer at the company, a history of how the company began and the road it had taken to get to where it currently was.
The final interview was the VP, who was again very friendly and laidback. The interview consisted of questions relating to my past work experiences, questions on how I felt I could progress in the role on offer and what i could bring to Voxbone.
Throughout the interview process I felt that all three interviewers wanted me to do well and they seemed genuinely interested about me. It did not feel as if they were ticking boxes and that they were just going through a hiring process.
After the series of interviews I was put through to the last stage - an online numeracy test. A week after taking the test I was emailed a job offer.
Before I reached a decision on the offer, I was also given a further tour of the office by the senior HR lady who took time out to show me around the area where the office is located and she provided further useful information about the job.
Unfortunately due to the offer being below my financial requirements (my own fault for not checking), I had to reject the offer. Without doubt, I would have loved to work for Voxbone but it was not meant to be.
All in all, it was a very positive experience - the people at this company are amazing and are super friendly. The whole process was the best I had ever experienced and I am genuinely sad that I could not take up the job offer for financial reasons.
