Got an email from the recruiter. Setup a 45 minute phone screen.
Very easy OOP style coding. Wrapped it up in like 15-20 minutes and then rest of the time just chatted with the interviewer.
Very fast response from the recruiter and moved to the onsite round immediately.
The onsite was kinda brain draining. 4 x rounds of 45 minute coding.
Like who does 4x round of 45 min coding and then a match interview.
Even FAANG themselves they dont do more than 2 coding (DSA) else job specific coding (Web, mobile, etc).
The interviewers weren't collaborative either. They were much more of proctorers. Like whats the fun?? If Im the only one thinking and trying hard and the other person is just seeing my face.
1 or 2 coding rounds is fine (the FAANG standard) but 5x coding rounds is just insane. The biggest turn off was they don't even care about past background, your stack experience or whats your expertise domain. They just want you to code leetcode for 4 hours. Like how are evaluating a candidate?? If someone just crams leetcode and gets the job, yea that pretty much tells about the standard of engineering there LMAO.
Don't waste your time here.

Contacted by recruiter, and then went through phone screen. I passed the phone screen. recruiter said feedback was positive and no feedback to give since I aced it. Went to onsite for 5 additional coding rounds. Nailed all of the questions. One of the interviewers explicitly mentioned they were very impressed with my communication and coding skills and the way I solved the problem. 3 days later, they contact me saying after reviewing my background and experience, they decide to move forward with other candidates. Something fishy is going on - this company seems to be stringing people along with no intention of hiring. Be aware. This is supported by evidence by the role being reposted over and over again on linkedin for months.
I was surprised to be rejected based on ‘background and experience’ only after completing six interview rounds, especially since that information was already available on my resume before the process started. Given the amount of preparation and time required for the coding interviews, I would have appreciated earlier screening for those criteria.

Scheduled a screen after outreach from a recruiter. During the screen, 45 minutes long, was asked after 10 minutes of conversation which ran down my clock, to solve a LeetCode Hard with 35 minutes and a hard stop. Inappropriate for a mid level role. Company does not interview fairly.

Question 1
A LeetCode question which was very involved and combined multiple separate concepts.
