I applied online and got an email back and scheduled a call within two days. It seemed promising--probably the quickest reply from a cold contact I'd ever gotten. First call was the standard HR screen. The internal recruiter had me fill out an essay answer questionnaire. A couple days later they contacted me to scheduled a video interview about two weeks out. The time came and I sat online, alone, as five minutes, then 10 minutes, then 15 minutes passed. I called the recruiter and was immediately told that one of interviewers had a last minute emergency that morning and they'd have to reschedule. Funny that he already knew there was an emergency but didn't bother to let me know. We reschedule for 10 days later. They cancelled again, no joke. At least this time I had about 16 hours notice. Luckily it was only pushed for three days this time. The time comes, they're actually online. I chat with three team members for about 90 minutes--contrary to what others here have said we only spent about 15 minutes on pleasantries with the rest being about actual work I'd done in the past and actual interviewy stuff. The people seemed nice, professional, and knowledgeable. They were older--I'd say in their late thirties to mid-forties (which is apparently rare for this place)--and had a lot of previous experience. That went well and I was invited for an in-person. Went for the in-person and met with the same group; another 90 minutes or so. About three hours after the interview I got an email asking me to fill out a case study and have it back within 48 hours. Ok, no problem. Did it and sent it in. A few days later they asked me to come back again, I guess I did pretty well, right? About a week later I met with a couple other people for about an hour and we talked company culture. They said my case had gotten positive reviews from the team. Got an email from the recruiter saying everything went well and he'd be in touch. It's been about a month and a half and no contact from them. I followed up immediately with a "thanks" and then after two weeks I checked in about a timeline. After another two weeks I just said forget it; probably a sign I wouldn't have been a good fit anyway. It seems pretty weird to have four interviews, a case study, an essay answer questionnaire, and two last minute interview cancellations over a period of four months and not even say, "Thanks for coming in but we don't think you'd be a good fit."
