I was contacted to set up a phone interview with someone from HR. On the day of the interview, they messaged me saying they are stuck in another meeting and asked for my availability. I emailed saying I was available the next day at a different time. They never emailed me back and never conducted the interview. A few days later I get an email saying they enjoyed speaking with me about my background and experience but decided not to continue. I never even got to speak with anyone about my experience or background. Considering we are still in a pandemic and finding work hasn’t been easy, companies should consider being open and honest with the candidate.
