I interviewed back in January 2023 and didn't hear back after a few weeks, which I assumed I was not selected. The company reached back out months later in April and asked if I was available for an interview the same day which I found a bit odd because why would you not follow up in January but want an interview the day of? I ended up emailing back and they told me it was due to internal shifts within the company, they apologized for not following up, and stated that they would love to discuss any available opportunities if I was still interested. As this was still a company within my radar, I wanted to see what available opportunities they had so I proceeded. Overall, I felt like the entire interview process was very rushed. Asking for interviews very quickly and also a bit misleading. I had an interview on Thursday and was told that a decision was going to be made "end of the day on Friday" to only end up having to do another interview on that same Friday and another one the following Monday/Tuesday. Everything was disorganized and I felt that the company was super unprofessional. The people were great to talk to, (shout out to Aysu who was super nice and fun to talk to), but I just don't think I can thrive or feel comfortable working at a place where I didn't have a positive interview experience. The interview experience sets the tone for what's to come at the company. The lack of professionalism and transparency was quite apparent. As a result, it left a sour taste and made me no longer interested in pursuing a career there. There's definitely a lot of things the company needs to improve on in order to give their candidates a more positive experience in regards to their recruitment process. Despite loving the idea of possibly working at UPRISE, I ended up withdrawing my application. I wish nothing but the best for UPRISE as they seem like an amazing company and their work in the social media space is quite impressive. I hope they take my feedback as a learning opportunity to improve their processes. TLDR; Interview process felt rushed, disorganized, misleading, and there was a lack of professionalism
