I was quite surprised with the unprofessional outcome of my interview process that is if I got an interview done. I was supposed to have an interview on a Monday and on Friday i had to reach out to confirm the time of the interview since nothing was sent and I got same day response saying they are sorry and would move it to Wednesday instead which was fine since i am flexible in my current position. The funny part and unprofessional to me is that i get a email a day before the interview (Tuesday) saying the position was filled on (Monday which should’ve been my interview date in the first place) and that they thank me for my time. I never thought a giant tech company like Uber would do such thing. I mean if you found a good candidate that’s great but have the decency of at least conducting the interview booked and promised and then decide after that not make potential candidates shuffle their calendars and days to accommodate the interview date and then suddenly canceling without even honoring the candidate with an interview. I thought equal opportunity involves every single candidate that qualified to the next round should be able to conduct interview even though it might be time consuming but that is the least you can do to be professional.
