Very short online application for initial contact. Asks questions related to your personal info and your automobile. Next you must upload the required documents: Drivers License, Vehicle Registration, Proof of Insurance. I did this with my iPhone Camera, very easy integration with iOS software. While your driving record / background check are being investigated, you can download the "Uber Partner" App and begin to setup your direct deposit account. You have the option of either using your own iPhone 4s or newer (no android yet) or renting an iPhone 4s from Uber. Since your income depends on your cellular device reliability, I added an additional line on my T-Mobile Family Plan for two reasons: 1) Having a dedicated line for my Uber Partner App, it supposedly draws a fair amount of data when you have a passenger, also keeps me from getting business calls when not driving. 2) With my T-Mobile plan, I can use my phone as a personal WiFi hotspot for customers. The final step in the process is watching a short (<10m) orientation video online (did this on my iPhone, again Uber's software is optimized quite well for iOS). The video actually gives good info, and provides a pretty concise rundown about Uber's process.

The entire process was extremely efficient and streamlined. I had a minor problem when attempting to verify my cellular # initially with Uber. A potential step that my be difficult for applicants that do not have all of their banking info near them is setting up their direct deposit. Uber driver's get paid weekly via EFT.
was pretty straightforward. Provided documentation and that was the brunt of it I think unless more is planning to come at some point doen the line. over all it was a pleasant experience and i'm looking forward to driving around

straight forward, nothing much actually kind of easy as you just drive and they watvh your safety driving, you should have a uber liscence though and then you can star working althoug the pay nowadays is terrible idk who they think they are
