Interview never happened. Or I should say for this role. I have previously phone interviewed with Uber, for the Operations and Logistics Manager role. I did not know that these two roles were the same. The job description and title is different. I did not move forward with the interview process on the previous role/interview, but it didn't mean that I had no interest with the company. Rather, I have continued interest in Uber, and Uber should be happy about that. But what happened was very unacceptable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I received an email from the recruiter 6 minutes after the set interview time saying that we spoke about the role before, she didn't catch it sooner, and that she won't interview again; its too soon. Seriously? I mean let's be honest, if I applied again, it at least shows my continued interest, shouldn't you at least give your candidate another chance? And you should have done your part too. Many times employers expect candidates to do their homework, well you should have figured that out before sending an email out saying you're interesting in connecting. Plus its a different job title, so how do you expect your candidate to know? You as a recruiter should know better. And you could at the least give me a call. You are already late in the interview, and you just send an email. That is very disrespectful of my time. I needed to set time aside to chat with you, and you just send an email once in the interview. You recommend candidates to apply again in 6 months. Well, you've lost my interest in the company as a whole. And do you expect that I will be unemployed for 6 months. Or you expect me to apply in 6 months and quit my current job. This is a real joke. You don't treat candidates as people. I would think twice in joining this company. Unacceptable and completely unprofessional talent acquisition team. My only word to your team is to do your homework on your candidates, and think before you reach out.
