A recruiter came to my high school and I set up a time to meet at the recruiting station. At the recruiting station I took an exam called the ASVAB to determine what types of jobs I could be placed in. Then I had a medical exam to ensure I was fit for the military and once I passed the exam I was off to boot camp.

I met with a local recruiter in Columbus, OH. He initially called me and spoke over the phone. He was very persuasive and knowledgeable about the Navy recruitment process and benefits.
