J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Census Bureau (Los Angeles, CA) en mars 2009
Entretien
I applied online and called to the phone posted @ the U.S. census jobs website and was dirrected to complete an assesment at a local library. I took the assesment and was given my score by a hiring manager, she told me someone should call me within two weeks to discuss further employment.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Census Bureau (Booneville, MS)
Entretien
Interview process was simple. It was a phone interview consisting of very simple questions. You have to go to a designated place then to take a test that is just common sense and very simple. You then have to go through training that you are paid for. The people were very friendly, courteous and informative.
J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Census Bureau (San Francisco, CA)
Entretien
No interview needed! You just need to take an exam (which they provide practice ones for) and do well enough for them to call you back.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
There was no interview, just an exam to pass. Soo, for those who dread interviews, work for the census the next time it rolls around! The most difficult questions will come from the people whose doors you have to knock on.
J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Census Bureau (Ishpeming, MI) en févr. 2010
Entretien
No direct interviews. You take a test with simple questions phrased as "what would you do in this situation?", etc. A practice test was provided on the Census Bureau's website. If you score high enough on the test, then you receive a call and they just ask you if you're interested and then you've got the job.

Question 1
The only questions that were asked were the ones on the competency test, and they're not difficult at all, especially if you do the practice test online.
